Wire Monkey Goose Bread Lame (Black Walnut)

I'm really very happy with the Goose lame. I use it daily to score my bread with, both at home and in my microbakery. It's great that it's so lightweight and sits comfortably in the hand. Also great that it works well for left-handed people too (that was very much appreciated here at home). Truly a beautiful product!

The goose lame is hands down my favorite lame (and just sourdough accessory) ever - it helps me score precisely and feels like you’re almost writing with a pen when you’re using it! I was a little late to the party getting a Goose Lame but finally got it just recently and now see what all the fuss is about out! There are so many things to love about it. Firstly it’s super light and comfortable to hold while scoring. Changing the blade couldn’t be simpler or safer. My previous long handled lame had two rather large bolts sticking out the side of it that would drag on the dough sometimes. The Goose lame is super streamlined so no problems there. That satisfying ‘click’ when you close it is a really awesome design accomplishment - so unique! The walnut wood is beautiful and my new lame now sits proudly for everyone to see on the fridge and obviously gets non bread making people inquisitive to know what it is. Congratulations Tyler on a truly great design.

Just buy it, it’s so good, comfy handle, easy to manipulate and flip to each side as needed, easy to change the blade, been using mine over a year and it’s the only lame I use now!

When the Goose Lame first came out, I placed an order and have not looked back since. Don’t get me wrong, I have somehow managed to get my hands on the other lames (ps. The Poco was my favourite before the Goose came out). I love having the handle on the Goose, it gives me the confidence that I am able to control the score (whether decorative or a slash) on my loaves. I have recommended this to many friends and my Goose Lames are displayed prominently in my kitchen fridge and it’s the only tool that I use now. (Yes I have 2!!!!)

Genuinely the best bread lame ever invented. It’s beautiful and very functional, and made to last. Also has excellent magnetic haptics! You’ll never burn yourself on that mid-expansion score ever again! These sell like crazy in my shop here in England! Highly recommend :)
