Wire Monkey UFO Nux Bread Lame

I absolutely love every single Wiremonkeyshop lame I own and this one is my go-to bread lame. The craftsmanship is unmatched and it holds up to the test of time. I’ve had mine for at least 3 years and it’s still in great shape. I highly recommend Tyler’s tools to all! -Katrina aka The Sourdough Mama 🥰

The Nux is very tactile and fun to handle. The only walnut wood is stunning and it’s just so obvious that such care and expert craft go into making these little beauties.

I live all Wiremonkey lames, they are the only ones in have been using for years now. I have 7 and love all for different reasons, but seem to reach out the most for this one. It’s so comfortable to hold for scoring. Bonus - you are supporting a small business owner who is one of the nicest people. Don’t give money to people duplicating his designs or Amazon and invest in something that will last you for life.

Super easy to hold, super well made, and mine has lasted a long time. Highly recommend!

The wood feels nice in the hand and can make precise cuts with it. Love the simple mechanism to hide the blade!

I got this as a gift for my husband and he absolutely loves it.

I’m already loving my new lame!!

Great product! I love that the blade stores inside for protection

Terrific little lame. Bit finicky at first, but once you get the hang of it, it's perfect.

Good lame to do small detailed cuts. Fits nicely in the hand. Easy to control.

This lame is BEAUTIFUL. Simple, so comfortable to hold. I love it.

Gave as a gift and she loved it.

Great quality, both the lame and holder arrived quickly even during the holidays. This was a gift and the recipient loves it!

This is a perfect gift idea for a sourdough bread baker!

Beautiful lame and easy to grip. Love it!

I am left handed and was having a hard time using other tools to score my bread so I am thrilled to use this ! It is so dainty and beautiful! Thank you !

Beautiful. Like another review had mentioned, it is smaller than I imagined in my head when first viewing the item listing, but I was prepared for it's size when it arrived. I'm so grateful for its size too - thanks to its size and circles, the finger placement and hold are perfection. Could not be happier that this is the holder that I chose!

Why have I not had this for years?? Makes an even layer of dusting flour into my sourdough baskets and onto my work surface so easy and without a bunch of flour all over my hands. I'm tempted to buy a bunch of these and give them away as Christmas presents!

This is my second purchase and it was a smooth, painless transaction.

Outstanding craftsmanship! Perfect for what I was looking for

The generous fingertip divots make this a pleasure to use. It’s easy to grip for scoring and can be rapidly spun to move the blade. I also think it will be easier to keep clean without so many intricate details.

Love this! It not only works amazingly but it's beautiful! 🌸

I waited almost a year before buying this because I’d purchased another high quality lame that I just wasn’t in love with. I should have just gotten this one sooner. Having your hand so close to the blade really gives so much more control. I love it!

Perfect for our new lame - they're so sharp!

A real upgrade from our plastic one with a longer handle. Excellent for scoring baguettes :)

Item didn’t make slashing easier - some dough got onto it too - and it wasn’t easy to unscrew or nice to hold. I wouldn’t buy it again for the price.

I was using a double edge razor attached to a giant popsicle stick with a small binder clip. It worked okay for a while. I didn't think I needed a fancy lame. Because this item is small, I had a lot more control. Fine scoring is a lot easier, not to mention better scoring overall since the pressure being applied is closer to the razor instead of far behind the razor. I'm very pleased with my purchase! I would highly recommend the UFO NUX, as it is easy to unscrew the top and bottom for blade change and/or adjustment.

Amazing quality! I love it!!!!!!

Great quality - the color is spectacular - and I love that it is made with upcycled leather.

This is a beautiful product. And for my arthritic hands, it just has not worked out well for me, I'm sorry to say. This does not take away from the product itself.... which is awesome. It only takes away from its usefulness for me personally. I bought the most expensive one (for arthritic hands!) but it wasn't enough, I'm afraid. I'm sure it will be perfect for others. Tyler has reached out to me and generously offered a solution. I can't possibly leave anything but five stars for the product and the maker. I'm the problem, not the blade holder!

Works great. Nice tool. Quick ship!

Awesome design and in every way!!!

I am a retired Baker and Cook . I had a work related accident so my dominant side isn’t what it used to be so using knives or a lame is difficult . With this beauty it fits my fingers like an extension of my pre accident grip and scoring my sourdough has returned as has my love for baking ! Thanks so much worth every penny to have my skills returned to me !
