Lame Care

Since we use no chemicals to treat our wooden lames, they must be maintained by occasionally soaking them in oil. We recommend using our fractionated coconut oil. The lames come pre-treated in our oil and seepage onto the paper wrap and envelope will occur!

What's included

One Astra Platinum coated double edge razor blade included; wrapped in paper. Please be careful when handling.

1 Year Warranty

We guarantee a 1 year warranty on the Arc lame. We also accept returns up to 14 days after products have been received.

The Arc lame is the smallest curved lame in the world! Its graceful form is made of American Black Walnut and a base stand is included. As with our UFO lame, the Arc allows you to get intimate with your dough and is especially good for long slashes.

All Arcs are made in our family-owned small shop in Fairfield, Connecticut USA. We believe in fair wages, using no plastics or harsh chemicals, and giving back to the baking community.

This lame is so cool. I think it best for detail work as the blade does not get deep enough for the loaves we score at work. Beautifully made and I love that it protects half the blade so you can flip and keep using it!

I love my UFO lame because I find it much easier to control my scoring without holding on to a handle. The arc lame combines the control of holding your hand close to the dough with the advantages of a curved lame. I'm really enjoying using both the straight UFO lame and the arc lame for different types of scores .
