The thin, double-edged Astra blade is what you want for clean, intricate scoring. After a lot of testing, these came out on top: sharp, consistent, and thin enough to part the dough instead of dragging it.

These are the replacement blades for your bread lame. They fit every Wire Monkey lame (the UFO, Goose, Arc, and Poco) and any standard lame that takes a double-edged safety razor blade. A fresh blade is the single biggest difference between a clean score and a ragged one, so most bakers keep a pack on hand and swap at the first sign of drag.

Each pack has 5 individually wrapped blades, with no plastic anywhere in the packaging. Please be careful when handling.

I have the kit that contained 5 extra. There are 6 blades because 1 is already inside your lame.
